The purpose of Kirsti and Tor Johansson’s Heart and Cancer Foundation (KTJS) is to enable long-term and sustainable medical research. We award grants to researchers at various stages of their careers for their work in research institutions in and outside Finland. We strive to increase the value of research data and researcher careers in society and to advance socially impactful research.
The Foundation has supported heart disease and cancer research since 1987. Learn more about establishing the Foundation and about its operations.
Every year we distribute grants for Finnish heart disease and cancer research.
